The initiative
Durga Puja. Across Borders.
Every autumn the festival travels with the people who carry it. In community halls in London, school auditoriums in New Jersey, rented pavilions in Singapore and Dubai and church basements in Toronto, the same five days are kept with the same care.
Global Connect brings those observances together with Bengal's own: the diaspora, Puja Committees, Bengali associations, cultural organisations and visitors who wish to be part of the season, wherever they are.
Participation is open. Communities register their puja, associations list their programmes, and visitors follow the festival through events, broadcasts and the pandals that host them.
